About the Event
Harassment Avoidance Training ~ It’s Not Just the Right Thing to Do, It’s the Law
By January 1, 2021, employers with five or more employees must provide one hour of sexual harassment prevention training to nonsupervisory employees and two hours of such training to supervisors. Training must take place within six months of hire or promotion and every two years thereafter. Important for our community [industry?]:
Beginning January 1, 2021, seasonal and temporary employees also must be trained within 30 calendar days after hire or within 100 hours worked, whichever is earlier.
This interactive, compliant training by Evenstar HR informs [supervisors or employees] of their rights and responsibilities when it comes to harassment avoidance. Attendees should come to the training with their employer’s Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation Prevention Policy in hand. If you need assistance creating this mandatory policy, Melinda Pedersen, of Evenstar HR is a resource. 707.499.7861
Participants will leave with all required documentation to prove attendance and completion of this required course.
